Change of Ages - How the Shabad Taatee Vaa-o Na Laga-ee Can Support your Transformation

In August of 2000, the Siri Singh Sahib, Yogi Bhajan, gave a seminal lecture about the exact nature of the change of consciousness between the Age of Pisces and the Age of Aquarius. In that lecture he explained many of the differences between the way people have acted in the last 2000 years and the way people will evolve in the future. In the Age of Pisces, sexuality was the orientation of relationships between men and women, and it created a lot of pain. In the Age of Aquarius, men and women will reach out to one another with dignity, mutuality and respect, and they will enjoy the experience of the Divine together through their sensory system. In the Age of Pisces, people gathered physical wealth around them to prove their status. They oriented themselves to the temporary earthly plane instead of to their nobility. In the Age of Aquarius, people will act gracious, kind, and their touch will fill the hearts of other with love. In the Age of Pisces, religion falsely taught people to find God outside of themselves. In the Age of Aquarius, we will find God inside of ourselves. We will see every grain of sand is God, and we will trust and dwell in the working God, Karta Purkh, which lives and breathes inside of us. These are the changes of consciousness that are taking place and will continue to take place on the planet as we navigate the last 1000 days of the Age of Pisces and establish the New Age.

The Siri Singh Sahib, Yogi Bhajan, also taught that the Age of Aquarius is not coming to us. The Age of Aquarius will come through us. What this means is that the work you do on yourself to change your consciousness is how this new human reality will be established on the earth. As you transform the way you have relationships, as you let go of the need for status, as you start experiencing God inside of yourself and let go of the need to find something outside of yourself to give your power to, as you go deeply into your own meditation and make these changes in your life, the Age of Aquarius will come to the earth. It is the work you do, and the Light that you share with others that will create this New Age and the new human experience that is now possible.

Those of us who are here at this time have taken a very unique incarnation. We have the unique blessing and challenge to create this change in ourselves, from the inside out. In essence, we are being asked to rebuild our house without leaving the one that we are in. So we need re-write the electricity, tear up the floor boards, re-model the rooms and do all this reconstruction without leaving the body and mind that we have been given. This process will, at times, create a tremendous sense of insecurity because what used to work will no longer work anymore. It will, at times, leave us feeling vulnerable, unsure of ourselves, and needing to feel supported as we experiment what new patterns of consciousness will work.

Sikh Dharma International suggests that during the 1000-day transition to the beginning of the Age of Aquarius, that you chant or listen to the beautiful Shabad by Guru Arjan Dev ji - Taatee Vaa-o na Laga-ee. This Shabad bring protection and helps get rid of insecurities. The Shabad creates the experience that no matter what difficulties or challenges you are facing, you feel completely held, protected and taken care of by the hand of the Creator. The Shabad causes you to feel supported, that everything is happening as it should, and that all your difficulties are being taken care of. Recite this Shabad 11 times a day, or have it playing in the background during your day. It will provide an energy of total support as you navigate the shift in consciousness in your own life as the Age of Pisces comes to an end and the Age of Aquarius begins.

May you become completely aware within your own body and mind of the Light of the Divine that lives in your own heart. And may that Light become totally active today, now, to project your identity into the New Age where you shall live healthy, happy, holy, bountiful, blissful and beautiful on the earth.
