Kalgi Pin for Siri Singh Sahib Memorial

Our Gift for the Altar of Guru Gobind Singh

300 years ago this October, in Nanded, India, the 10th and last Living Master of the Sikhs, Siri Guru Gobind Singh Ji, the King of Kings, merged his Light body into the One Light. Prior to his transition, he bestowed the eternal Guruship for the Sikhs upon the Siri Guru Granth Sahib. This year in Nanded, India, there will be a special honoring of the 300th anniversary of both these events.

We invite you to participate with Sikh Dharma International as we create a very special gift for Guru Gobind Singh's altar in honor of this anniversary. In gratitude and thanks for the wisdom of the Guru's path coming to the West, we are sponsoring the creation of a Kalgi pin. A Kalgi is a beautiful turban pin - one might say the original turban pin. It has a very regal shape and form. Guru Gobind Singh was famous for wearing a Kalgi on his own turban. He so enjoyed these pins, that he was affectionately and reverently called Guru Kalgidar.

On behalf of the Sikhs from the West, we will gift a beautiful gold and be-jeweled Kalgi to Guru Gobind Singh's altar this October during the 300th anniversary celebration. We would be grateful for your financial support in making this gift a reality.

The Kalgi is being made by Angelo Castello of Los Angeles, California, who created many of the Siri Singh Sahib Bhai Sahib Harbhajan Singh Khalsa Yogiji's Adi Shakti-style turban pins. We will be presenting the Kalgi in a beautiful box made by a team of artisans from the Khalsa Council. After the Kalgi is presented to Takhat Hazur Sahib in Nanded, where many of Guru Gobind's Singh weapons are kept, it will be kept on Guru Gobind Singh's altar there, and become an eternal part of a beautiful legacy.

Our goal is to raise $12,000 to create this gift. Please donate to this gift and become part of the legacy.

The Light Body of the Guru lives on in the Siri Guru Granth Sahib and the Khalsa Panth. Infinite gratitude to your soul for incarnating in this time and space, to honor and keep the sacred path of Sikh Dharma alive for the future generations. May you be remembered for your dignity, generosity and your spirit to protect and preserve the memory of our Father, Guru Gobind Singh Ji.
