Dharma Dive LIVE

Join us Wednesday, October 28, at 3 p.m. EST on Facebook Live and YouTube Live for our weekly Dharma Dive Live video program! Pritpal Singh will host an episode of the “Your Miracle Mantra Moment” program with a focus on manifesting prayer to Guru Ram Das and 11 minutes of chanting the shabad Dhan Dhan Ram Das Gur. This will be an interactive teaching program and experiential space, with time for live Q&A!

Dharma Dive: Live is a new series of live online programs hosted by Pritpal Singh via the Sikh Dharma International Facebook page and the Sikh Dharma International YouTube channel.  Each Wednesday session will include one of the following five different topic areas:

  1. Learna-Shabad: This program will present one shabad to enable viewers to learn how to sing these sacred sounds. Some time will be spent learning how to pronounce these words. Some time will focus on learning one melody and how to play in on a harmonium.
  2. The Roots of Sikhi: In this series each program will cover a topic to help understand the fundamental aspects of Sikh Dharma. Sometimes there will be a presentation about Sikh history and other times there will be a discussion about Sikh practices or philosophy.
  3. Your Miracle Mantra Moment: This is a continuing of an earlier program based around 11 minutes of chanting of the shabad, Dhan Dhan Ram Das Gur for healing and generating peace. After the chanting there will be discussion of related topics.
  4. HomeKirtan & Chat: This is also the continuation of an earlier program. In this series we invite a kirtan musician or group to join us. We will listen to some kirtan and then we will discuss their history and/or music.
  5. Dialogs on Dharma: This is a new series where there will be a different guest or guests invited to discuss current events in our Sikh Dharma community and to discuss points within Sikhi that are difficult to understand or apply in these times.

All sessions will include Q & A time to allow interaction with our viewers.

Please join us every Wednesday on Facebook or YouTube or watch these recorded programs later.

This is interesting to me as I sense it will be a means to learn more about Sikh Dharma. I did my teacher training in 2014 and was facinated from the get go about this aspect of kundalini yoga. It was really the stories of the gurus, the mantras from the text, the sound current being wafted through the air from the one waiving the feather, when we die…So rich…and yet, i couldn’t quite grasp the relationship the kundalini sikhs have with sikhs of India…I always wanted to know more about what both communities sharre & don’t share in common,as well as Yogi Bhajan’s standards & how again I guess… how the technology & dharma intertwined…and how this new way is meant to go. Another thing i sometimes pondered was in choosing not to take the sikh vows, was I going to feel as welcomed into the sikh dharma aspect of the kundalini lifestyle…a few thoughts

    • Dear Param Sangat Kaur – It is clear that you are giving these things a lot of thought. On your last point, it has always been central to the tenants of Sikh Dharma that all people, from all traditions are welcome – Sikh and non-Sikh alike.
