Camp Miri Piri 2017
June 9 - June 13
Camp Miri Piri is a celebration and a dedication to Guru Hargobind, the sixth Sikh Guru who started the warrior tradition in Sikhism. He wore two swords calling them ‘Miri’ and ‘Piri,’ which represent the balance between spiritual and worldly powers. This concept of the warrior-saint has permeated the Sikh philosophy and lifestyle since that time.
Camp Miri Piri is a comprehensive experience for body, mind and spirit. Join your brothers and sisters under the beautiful skies of New Mexico to learn, explore and practice these warrior-saint values. Together you will recite morning Banis, do a group Sadhana, engage in physical training, listen to Sikh stories, meditate, practice Gatka, and participate in discussion groups and Gurbani Kirtan.
The first 40 full event registrants will be guaranteed a bed in the Nivas housing. After the beds are filled we’ll make room for everyone where we can with cots and you’ll need to bring your own sleeping bag and pillow.
CMP is limited to 50 participants, please register as soon as possible to ensure your spot.
CMP is open to everyone ages 13 and over. If you are under the age of 18, you must be accompanied by a parent or guardian
