In November, 2017, Sardarni GuruAmrit Kaur, the Siri Sikdar Sahiba, led a Yatra to Anandpur Sahib.  We had a small group of ladies from the UK & US, and I was the assistant teacher, bringing my knowledge of the Shabad Guru to the course.

Each day we would journey to visit a different sacred site of Guru Gobind Singh’s or other Guru’s times which told a story of their lives and values.  The Guru blessed us with a local guide whose family had lived there during the time of the Gurus and who had a rich perspective to help us.

The entire course deepened our connection with and appreciation for the blessings of the Guru’s lives to deepen our radiance and live in the light of our divinity.  The Guru’s gave such a shining example of values to which we can access and live in, every day.

Sardarni GuruAmrit Kaur lead the course each morning with a gift of a virtue, going into the skills we can gain to bring that virtue deeper into our lives.  This was a highlight of the course as it brought deep and vast concepts into each reach for life transforming moments.

As the second teacher, I brought my love of the Shabad Guru through teaching on the processes we can use to connect with our radiance through the Shabad including deeper stages of meditation and grace to achieve this connection.

Each day the outings to the sacred sites, and the visits in the morning to Asa di Vaar in the Takhat at Keshgar Sahib brought us deeply into these moments of connection and allowed the lessons of the teachers and the Gurus to flow into our being.

Several members of the group journeyed to Amritsar to visit the Golden Temple and our school, Miri Piri Academy before journeying home.

Upon our return, our faces were bright and radiant with the memory of the Guru and our time delving into the radiance of Guru Gobind Singh in his home of Anandpur Sahib.
