Sikh Dharma International is looking for a strong team leader and administrator to fill the position of COO at SDI’s headquarters in Espanola, NM. We are looking for an individual who has experience managing others and developing and delivering operational plans.

Primary Purpose and Essential Functions:

The Chief Operating Officer (COO) is responsible for coordinating and overseeing the operations of the corporation to insure the successful deliverance of the goals of the organization and service to the Sadh Sangat. They are responsible to implement the short and long-term strategic goals and objectives of the corporation as identified in the annual Operational Plan and the 3-5 year Strategic Plan. They provide support to and oversight of employees and act as a link connecting all departments, vendors and staff.

The COO works with the CEO on the planning, development and oversight of the overall Fund development strategy for SDI.

The COO works directly with and oversees most of SDI’s departments and works with the CFO to oversee and carry out HR functions for the organization.

Qualifications and Education:

  • Ability to work in the context of a faith-based organization and to embrace the values and mission of SDI.
  • Bachelor’s degree.
  • 5 years of administrative and managerial experience.
  • Previous work for non-profits preferred.
  • Knowledge and practice of Sikh Dharma teachings lifestyle.
