Job Summary:

Responsible for overseeing all production and support activities on assigned shift. Responsible for ensuring all employees comply with company policies and procedures, as apply to manufacturing, safety, GMP’s, housekeeping and resources.

Job Duties:
Duties may include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Maximize IMA uptime through consistent influence of resources including Machine Operators, Tea Support, QA and Maintenance Technicians
  • Accurately prepare, complete, review and approve all related production documents and reports, i.e. BPR’s, yield reconciliation, QC checklists, shift pass downs and various logs
  • Lead Tea Support and Machine Operators with equal emphasis on efficiencies, safety, quality, costs and morale for assigned shift
  • Monitors and directs all staff to maintain a work environment of continuous improvement
  • Maintains a viable training plan incorporating efficiency and yield assumptions, learning-curves, quality expectations, safe work practices, etc. for production staff in order to administer personnel performance documentation and corrective action
  • Audit ADP labor scans and perform manual coding for payroll accuracy when necessary. Approve all time for each payroll cycle
  • Monitor the movement of raw materials between the warehouse and manufacturing for accuracy and proper assignment
  • Assists operators and mechanics in trouble shooting initial cause of machine failure and provides miscellaneous support wherever necessary to keep production lines efficient including dumping tea, moving and staging components.
  • Familiarity with operation of all peripheral production equipment as well as IMA machines, i.e., Ishida scales, glue machines, case packers, ink jet print systems, conveyors MARKSnMORE
  • Responsible for manual waste count and recording
  • Ensures facility security and personnel safety
  • Performs any and all other assigned tasks

  • Regulatory requirements in manufacturing environment, i.e. BOLI, OR-OSHA
  • EWTC products, production, and warehouse processes, policies and procedures

Proficiency in:   MS Office Suite, Exact, ADP Attendance Tracking, Discoverer

Work Environment:

  • 10% Office – sitting ; 90% manufacturing - warehouse and high-speed production environment exposure which includes noise, dust, forklifts, and fluctuations in temperature

Physical Requirements:

  • Must be able to lift up to 30 lbs. on an infrequent basis
  • Stand, walk, climb stairs and climbing on and off of a forklift
  • Sitting at work stations for extended periods of time

Minimum Qualifications:

  • 5 years of experience supervising in a packaging environment – high speed preferred
  • Experienced in report writing, data entry and general computer skills
  • Safe Forklift operation
