Description

Position Title: QA Food Technician

This position will be expected to perform in an articulate, professional, and accountable manner. This position will serve a vital internal role within the Quality Assurance department, with occasional cross-departmental responsibilities. Guidance, supervision, and mentorship will be determined at start of internship.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain a database for bulk index, particle size and moisture content
  • Test ingredients using near High Performance Thin Layer Chromatography and Rapid Microbial Enumeration Technology
  • Analyze and interpret test results
  • Communicate with all departments to complete project, as appropriate
  • Perform other duties, as appropriate
  • Prepare and review weekly goals and accomplishments report with supervisor

Requirements:

  • Completion of at least two years of secondary school; science concentration preferred
  • Demonstrated ability to think critically
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively
  • Commitment to represent and uphold Yogi’s mission and values
  • Equivalent knowledge and experience may be considered

Position Location: Springfield, OR
Work Schedule: 15 hrs per week, as defined and agreed upon before start date
Position Duration: 4 – 12 weeks
Pay: $12.00 - $14.00, D.O.E.
