These days we are so busy, constantly bombarded with information, opportunities, responsibilities, and distractions. There seems to be an urgent need to slow down, breathe, and learn in a new way that seeps into your consciousness and your life — so you experience a deep satisfaction in your soul. Taking time for mindful self discovery enriches your outlook, and allows you to live from the inside out.
Journey into the Heart of Sikh Dharma provides that space. This unique small-group telecourse offers tools and wisdom to explore and apply to your life. We welcome everyone — whether you are a seeker or a Sikh, a Kundalini Yoga teacher or a student, new to Sikh Dharma or of a different faith, or considering serving as a Sikh Minister. What all participants have in common is a longing to deepen their experience and understanding of Sikh Dharma, and a commitment to take a spiritual journey along with the other participants of transformation and inspiration.
By learning from an array of great presenters and a supportive group of peers, and guided by your facilitator, Mata Mandir Kaur, your life can blossom in a profound, transformational way. You will integrate what you learn by sharing, reflecting, and expressing your truth as it unfolds. If you are a Kundalini yogi, this course will enrich your practice and knowledge — it is a perfect complement or follow up to Teacher Training. Give yourself the gift of learning and participation, and join this precious journey.
Journey into the Heart of Sikh Dharma is starting its 19th year of providing Sikhs, seekers, and students of consciousness the opportunity to deeply explore your relationship to the Sikh path (dharma) through this very powerful small group tele-course. This course covers 14 specific topics that promote deep understanding and introspection so that you explore your connection to these ideas and how to apply them in your daily life.
Among others, the course covers topics such as these: Pillars of Sikh Dharma (Bana, Bani, Simran and Seva), Kundalini Yoga and Sikh Dharma, Siri Guru Granth Sahib, Prayer, Sacred Relationships, Spiritual Warrior, Death & Dying, and more. The presenters include some of the best teachers within the Sikh Dharma community: Snatam Kaur, , Shiv Charan Singh, Sat Hari Singh, Ek Ong Kaar Kaur, Mata Mandir Singh, and Guruka Singh, just to name a few. The complete list can be found on the website JHSD.org.
The course starts in late September and meets every 2 weeks over the following seven months, ending in late April. Three sections are available to meet the many different schedules of our students. Currently the sections meet on Monday and Thursday evenings and Thursday early afternoon (Eastern time). We have found that this format fits most schedules and allows our international attendees an opportunity to participate at a reasonable hour for them.
Space is limited and registration ends on Wednesday, September 5. Payment plans are available.
