A Commemorative Japji Sahib Volume with 19 Language Translations

We invite you to participate in a historic project for a historic moment.

One of Guru Nanak’s most beautiful writings, Japji Sahib, has expanded our consciousness and transformed our lives. We are all connected by the special touch of these words.

2019 marks the 550th Birthday of Guru Nanak Dev Ji and this momentous occasion will be commemorated around the world.  As part of our celebration, 3HO and Sikh Dharma are joining together to take a Yatra with about 100 sangat members to India.

Whenever the Siri Singh Sahib, Yogi Bhajan attended these historic events, he would bring a gift that reflected the majesty and dignity of the Khalsa in the West. To continue that tradition, we are collecting the translation of Japji Sahib from our communities around the globe, in 19 different languages.  Each translation of Japji Sahib will be included in a beautiful book bound with a spectacular cover of silver filigree and precious gem stones and each of the 400 pages will be artistically designed and bordered.

Such a volume will represent how the words and Light of Guru Nanak Dev ji have spread throughout the world through the inspiration of Siri Singh Sahib, Yogi Bhajan and the devotion of his students.

On the occasion of Guru Nanak Dev ji’s birthday, this book titled “Japji Sahib – the Light of Guru Nanak for the World“, will be given to the Sikh Museum at the Golden Temple in the name of the Siri Singh Sahib, Yogi Bhajan and on behalf of the 3HO/Sikh Dharma communities around the world.  There it will remain for all time in testimony to our love for the path of Nanak.

In addition to the one-of-a-kind embellished and gilded volume, we are printing limited hard-cover editions as appreciation gifts for those who contribute $550 or more towards this project. These books will have a white faux-leather cover with gold embossed lettering and will contain all 400 inner pages of the volume.

We also have a beautiful 11×14 print of Guru Nanak Dev Ji, created by the same artist, for those who contribute $108 towards the project.

The following images represent an early rendition of the artist’s drawings of the book design. (The artist is Jiwan Randhir Singh aka Timothy Teruo Watters.  Scroll down to find out more about him.)

We extend a special invitation to everyone to be a part of this historic project.  All are welcome to make a donation of any size to help fund the creation of this beautiful piece of legacy art.

For donations of $108, we will send you an appreciation gift of an 11 x 14 print of the artist’s rendition of Guru Nanak Dev Ji, which will be included in the book. (These will be available at the end of September.)

For donations of $550, you will receive a copy of this special volume, in a limited Hardcover Edition, which will include Japji Sahib translated into 19 different languages and unique artwork for each translation. (They will be available as of mid-November.)

The following are early renditions by the artist of the cover pages for each language that will be represented in the book:

We invite you to be part of this legacy.

Peace to All, Light to All, Love to All.
