JAPJI COURSE SCHEDULE
The goal of this “Japji for the Aquarian Age Course” is to create the environment for people to share and learn about the deep experience of the practice of reciting Japji Sahib; sharing the experience of reciting these powerful sounds together; sharing the experience of exploring the meaning and significance of each of the 40 Pauris (stanzas) of Japji. Japji Sahib contains deeply spiritual teachings from Guru Nanak, expressed in transforming poetic verse. Siri Singh Sahib, Yogi Bhajan spoke often about the benefits of reciting the Pauris of Japji. He explained the importance and significance of many parts of Japji. This course is based on his teachings and on universal wisdom about Japji Sahib.
The pace of the course will be measured and steady to allow students to absorb and process each part of the course. There will be some time spent listening to inspiring teachers explain the philosophy and history connected to Japji. There will be time to meditate together. And there will be time to share personal experiences of Japji with each other.
We invite all people to come together from all parts of the world to be part of a deeply transformative experience. This specific course is particularly special, since it will be part of the Light of Guru Nanak Yatra to India, celebrating the 550th birthday of beloved Guru Nanak Dev Ji.
As part of the yatra, we will arrive into New Delih on November 5th and then travel to Anandpur Sahib on November 7th. November 8-10 will be 3 full Japji course days. On November 11th, we will leave Anandpur Sahib for the special event celebrations for Guru Nanak’s birthday in Sultanpur Lodhi.
