Meditation for Mental Clarity and Purity

COMMENTS: This meditation for mental clarity has the capacity to make your mind clear as crystal. It can totally eliminate mental impurity, but it must be done correctly. In the coming times, many people will become nervous wrecks. They will not even be in a position to receive instruction in meditation. All you will be able to do for them is to put your hands over their heads and start chanting. This meditation will help to develop the healing powers within you, provided you also perfect the mantra SAA TAA NAA MAA RAA MAA DAA SAA SAA SAY SO HANG.

POSTURE: Sit in Easy Pose or in a chair with the weight of both feet equally distributed on the ground.

MUDRA: For men, rest the right hand in the left with both hands facing up. For women, the position is reversed. Point both thumbs straight away from the body. Hold this position at the center of the chest, at the curve of the rib cage. The arms rest against the sides of the body with the elbows bent.

EYES: The eyes are almost completely closed.

MANTRA: In the above position, begin chanting the mantra.

GOBIND GOBIND, HAREE HAREE

Continue the chant without any breaks, allowing the breath to regulate itself.

Chant the mantra in a monotone, in a four-beat rhythm. As you say, “Go” pucker your lips as if to kiss someone, and relax them on the syllable “Bind.”

TIME: No restrictions were placed on the length of time this meditation for mental clarity can be practiced.

Actually, while that is a beautiful recording, this meditation is to be done in monotone, not with a melody. So, better to do this just with your own voice.

  2. Sat Guru Khalsa says:

A video with audio would be really helpful for this chant. Puckering my lips for “Go” does not feel possible. Perhaps I am not trying correctly.

    • Pritpal Singh Khalsa says:

We also hope to offer a video each time we post a meditation like this but it was not possible this time. As far as puckering your lips on the “Go” part of “Gobinda”, this is about just the ending sound of “oh-oo”, not during the “G” sound. Try that and it will become easy as you do it.
