“Why do I give Dasvandh? Firstly and most importantly it is in deep gratitude for all the blessings we have received and experienced via the Siri Singh Sahib’s teachings. Secondly, it fills me with pure joy and light. To experience that, despite harsh economic circumstances, I am able to give and I have something to give without any expectations of what/if I will get back is a blessing. This act of pure giving turned out to be very healing for me. This experience has opened abundance and flow in our family. My work is blessed, better paid and it creates more gratitude both for myself and my clients. Thanks to tithing I realized how much I have and how much I can share. I always thought that things, values or experiences I could share are not good enough (or being poor is because I am not good enough, too), but giving Davandh has taught me, that everything is enough: I am enough” and we will have enough, we will be provided for. It is true, and I gained this personal experience by giving Dasvandh. Giving has made us wealthier, more open and friendly… and a lot happier. ”

“Thank you for all the encouragement. Since I started my Dasvandh practice my situation has gone from lack to abundance. My new address is testament to the changes that have been occurring in my life. I was able to purchase my first home through the sale of a violin. I now no longer pay rent and have additional rental income. My sincere gratitude for all of the prosperity tools that you provide!”

“When you are a student on financial aid, money is tight. Even the financial aid office calculates for you what you need to earn to make up for what cannot be granted, unless you want to take out more loans. I had many expenses and was making a small, fixed amount of money. How could I continue to tithe as a student, which to me, meant poverty, until I could earn a real living? Then I thought, won’t I always be having expenses? Should I wait until my college debts are paid until I can give back again? What is prosperity? Perhaps my education is really part of the flow of my prosperity that I am investing in the future; Guru is with me now, and I can be prosperous now. After all, Guru has blessed me with the opportunity for education and the part-time job to help support it. So putting normal budget limits aside, I created an opening for the flow of prosperity. I gave a tenth of my earnings from when I had stopped to the present. Two days after I mailed the check, a relative called, asked me how I was doing, acknowledged that graduate school testing and applications were expensive. My relative offered to send me six times the amount I had just sent as a tithe. What a miracle! For me, the key is trust in God and Guru to provide for my soul’s destiny, and in the reality of the teachings on tithing. I tried it. You can too.”

“Many blessings and thank you for your message and for your service. We feel grateful to give at this level every month as we have without break since sometime around 1985. Our lives are a testament to the benefits of giving to the unknown in the name of God, with confidence that God will return that contribution many fold. We are grateful to support the Siri Singh Sahib Ji’s mission. Giving is the greatest gift we give to ourselves.”

“I have been constant and consistent with my Dasvandh, and I have no doubt that ‘the vacuum’ really works. I have done two or three of the Prosperity meditations included in your communications and have found many amazing results. I have never gone through financial struggles, and since 1993, I have experienced a good income increase every year, something rare in Mexico.”

“Recently my wife, Sat Rattan K and I decided to do something to increase the prosperity of our GRD Chiropractic Clinic. Beginning one Friday evening at 6 PM and continuing for 24 hours until 6 PM Saturday evening, we sponsored a continuous recitation of the 25th Pauri of Japji Sahib. This has helped us breakthrough to a new dimension of prosperity. Paying Dasvandh is a privilege now as our business tripled it’s income in the following two weeks. Thank you, Guru Nanak!”

“I have experienced over and over in my life the lesson: if you give one-tenth to the Guru, the Guru has already given you extra in return. Please let me share one of my experiences. It was during my first year in Sikh Dharma that I first felt the bounty of Dasvandh. I was unemployed at the time, having just completed a job at Boston University Medical Center. Even though I was on Unemployment, I had sent in a check to Dasvandh the first of that month. I was hoping to attend KWTC (Women’s Camp) for the first time. I had innocently put away money for camp, not knowing the expenses that I would incur on a spiritual yatra. One day, as I reviewed my budget for the summer, I realized that I was almost $1000 short of what I needed for the camp. Within a week I received a check from Boston University. I expected this check to be for $118. To my great surprise it was exactly 10 times that amount, $1180. Through the power of Dasvandh, KWTC was covered for me. Wahe Guru!”

“During the last few months I was not traveling on the road and selling, as I normally do. I was a little depressed, so I decided to help out in the Dasvandh office to get my spirits up. I so believe in the power of Dasvandh and building this Dharma. I was helping call the sangat all over the country and I was telling everyone about our wonderful Prosperity Altar. I was talking away saying how important it is to give so that the energy can flow through us all, when I realized I needed to give a Dasvandh offering also. The Prosperity Altar had just been completed. I had $20 in my wallet, so I put it in a Dasvandh envelope and put it on the Prosperity Altar. Not more than a half an hour later, the phone rang and I was offered a job with all expenses paid! Wahe Guru! One thing I have learned in my 25 years in Sikh Dharma is that the only way to really be prosperous is by giving.”

“Our family’s experience giving to Dasvandh: My husband’s projection was for a challenging, well-paying job with less stress and more fun. The result was that he got his new job. My son’s projection was to learn more in school not have disruptive kids in his class, and have more money for computer accessories and software. The result was that he enrolled in some more challenging classes and then, by God’s Grace, ended up going to another school on the other side of town, where the disruptive kids that had bothered him did not attend. This school is much more accepting of diversity. he has received quite a bit of gift money that he has been able to use for his computer. My projection was to be successful at writing and teaching Kundalini Yoga, and to be healthy. I also projected to go to solstice next year. The result of all the prayers was that I sold newspaper and magazine articles, had more yoga students, and am now much healthier. I didn’t make it to solstice last year, but have since attended many events!”
