Japji Resources

Japji Sahib is a prayer composed by Guru Nanak, the first enlightened master of the Sikhs. All realms of existence and human experiences are contained within the sound current of Japji. Check out our many tools to deepen your experience of this special prayer.

To help you with your daily recitation of Japji, we offer nitnems and our Japji for the Aquarian Age App.  The app also has an 11x repetition mode which features the effect of each section and audio to read along with.   The app is free, but you also have the option to purchase the premium version, which offers more audio options.  You can choose to read Japji in Gurmukhi, follow along with the transliteration, or read the translation in English to better understand the meaning.

Our popular book, Guru Nanak’s Call of the Soul:  Japji Sahib, includes the Gurmukhi script, along with the translation and transliteration, the effects of and detailed explanations of each of the 40 sections of Japji, as well as suggested meditations.

**It is important to note that he words of Japji Sahib and any of the banis or kirtan from any portion of the Siri Guru Granth Sahib, the Sikh scripture, is considered sacred and the proper protocol is to cover your head when reciting and to treat any written materials from the Siri Guru Granth Sahib respectfully.  For example, never place them directly on the floor and cover or wrap nitnems (prayer books) when possible.
