Have you or someone you know ever wanted to plug into an ashram, to join a larger community and share the experience of service, sadhana and spiritual growth? If so, you’ll want to check out an opportunity that is now available at the “Mother Ashram”, also known as Hacienda de Guru Ram Das, in Espanola, New Mexico, USA.
The Espanola Sangat cordially invites you to the “Land of Enchantment”, to participate in their Seva Sadhana Program, which was created to serve both the spirit of the participants and the Mother Ashram.
Sevadars are invited to have an ashram experience through a service exchange in our shared housing. Participants work in the Guru Amar Das Community Garden and serve the community langar, participate in Ishnaan Seva and read in the weekly Akhand Path, in addition to other service projects within the community.
The exchange is physically demanding, but also incredibly rewarding. For $11-27 a day or $300 per month, sevadars share in the community life of Hacienda de Guru Ram Das: Daily Aquarian Sadhana, yoga classes and workshops, community kirtan and more.
We currently have one Nivas available that houses 8 people. We will be opening a second nivas in the spring which will house 12 or more participants.
If you or anyone you know would benefit from our program and in turn, benefit the ashram, please let us know. Also, if you are a teacher or leader in your community and you would like to bring a group of students to do seva together, please contact us. We look forward to creating opportunities for both students and teachers to serve together. Visit the Seva Sadhana Program website for more information.
There are always more improvements which need to be made to the land and facilities to maintain and sustain the ashram. We have recently launched a global fundraising campaign to raise $20,000 to expand the living space available for people to participate in this seva program. Please consider making a contribution today. All those who contribute to these sacred lands will be blessed!
