Sangat

“Sangat” is defined as a community of like-minded people. For Sikhs, the “Sadh Sangat” is the congregation of the “holy company,” or those who gather in spirituality to praise God and Guru.

Sikhs believe that the power of the sangat is more than the sum of its parts, and that in the company of the holy, we expand ourselves beyond our individual consciousness, merge ourselves through group consciousness, and then with universal consciousness.
