Singh and Kaur

“Singh” is the middle or last name given to a man who becomes a Sikh and/or takes Amrit. “Singh” literally translated means “lion.”

“Kaur” is the middle or last name given to a woman who becomes a Sikh and/or takes Amrit. “Kaur” literally translated means “princess.”
