Our visit to the Sikh Dharma Days at the Guru Ram Das Aquarian Academy in Boizenburg, Germany, was an uplifting pilgrimage of spirit, community, and light. From the moment we arrived, the beautiful German Sangat welcomed us with open arms and radiant smiles, embodying the warmth of spiritual connection.
Outside, the town glowed under a blanket of freshly fallen snow, a gentle hush resting over the winding streets. Every street shimmered with Christmas lights, their reflections dancing on the cobblestones as if blessing each passerby. Even the trees, their branches bowed under soft white coverings, seemed to be in graceful meditation—honoring the majesty of winter’s stillness.
Within the cozy ashram walls, our days were filled with the happiness of being together in an inspiring environment, the dust of the feet of the saints.
We rose together in the ambrosial hours for Sadhana, our voices uniting in chanting and yoga practice.
The rhythm of Naam echoed through the quiet halls, weaving a tapestry of peace and renewal.
Between practices, the aroma of langar filled the air—simple yet delicious meals prepared with intention and shared with love.
Meaningful conversations and laughter flowed easily, sparking friendship and reflection, each moment suffused with the blessings of being in the house of the Siri Guru Granth Sahib.
As the year turned, we gathered for a special New Year’s Gurdwara, sitting together in the presence of the Guru. The Hukam of the day offered a deep message to welcome 2026, reminding us:
“By singing the Lord’s praises my sins are erased, and the melody of joy ever arises in me.”
The words stayed with us, illuminating the direction of the year ahead and reminding us how Gurbani is always there to assist us in meeting challenges and crossing the world ocean.
We were also honored to witness and participate as Fateh Singh Khalsa of Germany was ordained as a Sikh Dharma Minister before the Siri Guru Granth Sahib and in the company of the Sadh Sangat.
Our time in Boizenburg reminded us that the light we seek—no matter the season or place—lives not only within us, but also in the hearts of those we meet on the path. In the stillness of the snow, the warmth of the Sangat, and the song of the Guru’s wisdom, we rediscovered the melody of joy rising anew.
