As part of our Sikh Dharma International Teachings, we have been taught that woman is the nucleus of the universe.  Guru Nanak shared this in his Shabad, Bhand Jamee-ai:

From woman, man is born; within woman, man is conceived; to woman he is engaged and married.
Woman becomes his friend; through woman, the future generations come.

When woman dies, he seeks another woman to woman he is bound.
So why call her bad. From her, kings are born?

From woman, woman is born; without woman, there would be no one at all.
O Nanak, only the True Lord is without a woman.

Blessed, beautiful it the mouth that praises the Lord continually.
O Nanak, those faces shall be radiant in the Court of the True Lord.

“You have the capacity to be a mother. Your mother principle is not only recognized, but it is respected, it is revered. You may never have a child, but you are considered the channel of humanity.” ~ Yogi Bhajan

Here we feature many of the beautiful Khalsa women from our Global Sangat who share their grace and strength regularly to positively impact the lives of those around them.  They teach and serve others on a daily basis and are an example for our community.
