The following was shared by Hardeep Kaur about her experience of an Akhand Path in Italy in September 2025. She wrote it in Italian and we translated it into English.
You can view the Italian version below.
A few months have passed, yet the energy generated during the Akhand Path in Umbria remains vividly present within me. I can truly say that the venue that hosted it—Mata Ji, a beautiful country home where the traditions of Kundalini Yoga and Sikh Dharma have thrived for many years—along with the people who gathered there to make it possible (some staying for the entire duration, others for just a few hours), played a pivotal role.
However, the sole protagonist was the Siri Guru Granth Sahib. To be able to feel—for the very first time—that everything revolved around the Word, around selfless service, and around an unconditional presence (whether by day, by night, or whenever the need arose); to clearly perceive that an absolute priority had been established, and that I had attuned myself to that flow—allowing myself to be fully and completely absorbed by it, without any distractions—this experience left a profoundly deep impact upon me.
Every day, as an act of *seva* (selfless service), I read the *Hukam* from the Golden Temple; I have been taught that the Guru speaks to you precisely at the point where you currently stand. I have witnessed this happen countless times… Yet, as the day unfolds—bringing with it commitments, people, and tasks to be done—the mind begins its incessant chatter; emotions surface, and before long, the internal noise often grows so loud that the Guru’s Teaching becomes muffled. The Akhand Path, by contrast, offered a total immersion—an opportunity to receive and listen with profound depth, to commune with the *sangat* (spiritual community), and to strengthen my remembrance of the Guru’s guidance. I am truly grateful to have had the privilege of living through this experience.
