October is when we celebrate the birthday of Guru Ram Das ji, the fourth Guru of the Sikhs.  Sikh Dharma ashrams and gurdwaras around the world joined together on October 9th in prayer and deep meditation on the brilliant light of Guru Ram Das.

Joining the sangat in Amritsar in celebration of the birthday of Guru Ram Das ji is an important part of our year.  It is when we bow in humble gratitude for the blessing of walking on this path. On October 15th, Chardi Kala Jatha sang the praises of Guru Ram Das at the Sri Harimandir Sahib in Amritsar on the occasion of the Gurupurb.
