In our March 2026 Dialogues in Dharma get together, SS Rai Singh focused on the topic of “Creator, Sustainer, Destroyer: The Three Facets of God as a Framework for Spiritual Growth.” He discussed the three aspects of God as a practical guide to discern when to create, when to sustain, and when to let go. Disruption and innovation are a must; if we don’t do it, someone will do it for us.
- Creator: vision and the impulse to begin something new—new ways to serve, new languages to transmit truth, new structures that can support Sangat.
- Sustainer: discipline, continuity, and structure—the elements that keep practice alive: habits, commitment, community, form, and containment.
- Destroyer: the sacred capacity to remove what no longer serves—releasing attachments, clearing what is obsolete, dismantling what blocks spiritual vitality and community integrity. Not destruction for ego, but for liberation.
