Khalsa Woman Leader: Japjeet Kaur Khalsa

Japjeet Kaur (Canada) is dedicated to creating spaces where people of all ages—children, youth, and adults—can grow, learn, and serve.

As the Head of School for Miri Piri Academy in Amritsar, she played a crucial role in reopening the school post-COVID and rebuilding its community. Building on its foundation as a boarding school, she expanded its mission by introducing a day school program and a continuing education initiative for adults, creating new opportunities for lifelong learning and spiritual growth.

Her passion lies in fostering an environment where students develop resilience and strength to face life with Chardi Kala, and where adults can continue their own learning journeys. She believes deeply in the power of community, engaging with the sangat to learn, teach, and grow together.

Japjeet Kaur holds a Master’s degree from Columbia University in Private School Leadership and has served the global Kundalini Yoga community through leadership roles in 3HO’s Solstice Youth Camp and Women’s Camp. Her work remains centered on empowering individuals of all ages to live with purpose, strength, and service.
