Monthly Kirtan Jam Session (February 7, 2026)

Our fourth monthly Kirtan Jam Session took place on Saturday, February 7, 2026.

Here’s a recap of the event:  Gurutrang Singh kicked off the event by playing an affirmation that he put to music. Then he played “Ad Guray Namay” with a beautiful English translation which he said he got from a lecture from the Siri Singh Sahib Ji talking about the meaning of Sangat. When a couple of our musicians had internet issues and they couldn’t continue, we filled in the space by playing the lecture that Gurutrang had mentioned which people had requested in the chat.

Livtar Singh played a round of songs from decades past which were “all but forgotten” and which many had never heard before.

Siri Kartar Kaur played Gobinde Mukande, Chattr Chakra varti, Jai Tegang, Waho Waho Gobind Singh, Nasro Mansoor⚔️🙏🏼in ode to Guru Gobind Singh Ji.

Both Livtar and Siri Kartar referenced the One in All in the songs/Shabads they played and Siri Kartar spoke about singing and creating heat (tapa) through the energy we create when chanting. It was very inspiring as usual. Our musicians are always great teachers who inspire through both their own experience and their music. Our community is truly blessed! 🙏🏻

Siri Kartar Kaur (Italy) – commenced her journey to the heart of Sikh Dharma in 1978, in Rome, Italy, initially being exposed to the Dharma as a Kundalini Yoga student. Soon thereafter, she found her soul being drawn towards the study and practice of the Sikh martial art form known as Gatka. Since then, she has earned great renown in sharing this precious spiritual practice with the entire world, including the Punjabi Sikh community. In the last few years, Siri Kartar has begun teaching Gatka online to a worldwide audience.

Gurutrang Singh from Virginia, USA

I have been playing piano, guitar, drums and singing songs since I was born. I began guitar lessons at age 11. My father was a Big Band tenor sax and clarinet player. My mom has a beautiful voice. My sister spun all the hit tunes in the way back. Music was always at my home and a part of my life.

When I was sixteen, I was introduced to Kundalini Yoga. I moved into the Baltimore Panj Pyare Ashram when I graduated high school at age 18. I was attending lots of White Tantric Yoga courses, Summer and Winter Solstice Celebrations, Yoga Intensives, and Kundalini Yoga Courses taught live, directly by the Siri Singh Sahib Yogi Bhajan. My musical abilities were quickly integrated into the group practices wherever I went, and I wrote several endearing, heritage 3HO songs, such as “Sat Nam the Grace Within You”, “Oh Guru Ram Das Thank You for this Beautiful Day”, “The Yogi Tea Song”, “Get Out of Bed You Little Sleepy Head”, and many other chants and songs.

I also learned by memory most every other Heritage song from so many 3HO artists and sang them at Gurdwaras and events everywhere even up until this day. Mukhia Singh Sahib Livtar Singh and I shared music when our beards were still brown, black, and gold hair at Solstices, and at Dharmic activities.

You can say, I am a walking, talking, singing, encyclopedia of 3HO/Sikh Dharma devotional songs. And I love it. I love singing from my heart in the Perfect Love of the Perfect Guru, Siri Guru Granth Sahib Ji. When I sing, my aura, sound, and colorization vibrate into the Magnetic Infinity. I reach people by vibrating with them as I play and sing. It is as if I am one with their One.
