In 1975, MSS Livtar Singh Khalsa (Atlanta, Georgia) wrote “Song of the Khalsa,” an English-language inspirational song to inspire new Western Sikhs. The song blends folk guitar accompaniment with poetic lyrics that recount some of the major events in Sikh history and echo traditional Sikh values.
The Siri Singh Sahib, Yogi Bhajan directed that “Song of the Khalsa” be sung in every Gurdwara immediately before the Anand Sahib. He even requested that the lyrics be inscribed on the back of his memorial marker.
It is with great joy that we present to you, “Song of the Khalsa: A Living Anthem”! This commemorative offering celebrates the 50th anniversary of Song of the Khalsa and celebrates the history and impact of Livtar Singh’s “Song of the Khalsa” in the worldwide Sikh Dharma and 3HO community.
