Each morning in Ardas we pray for “Bhrosa Daan”, which means “the gift of trust.” Trust in Guru. Trust in God. Everybody will teach you to love God, believe in God, worship God. But first we must trust in God. As Guru Nanak said:
“Kiv sachi-aaraa ho-ee-ai kiv koorhai tutai paal. Hukam rajaa-ee chalnaa naanak likhi-aa naal.” Living in truth, the veil of illusion is torn away. O Nanak, we merge our will with the Divine will, and all of the virtues and powers of the Divine shall flow through us.Guru Nanak is telling us to ask God to come through. Have a direct relationship. We are born in the image of God. We are God! There’s no other God but God living in you. That is what Guru is saying.
The Siri Singh Sahib told us: “It is time to come out of our shell and trust ourselves.” It’s a matter of projection in our psyche. Do we trust our soul? Do we believe and trust that we have a soul, and do we trust and believe that our soul is a part of the infinite soul, which is God? The most courageous human act we can do is that we MUST trust. Because if we are not going to learn to trust our God within, and if we are not going to trust the other human beings in whom God lives, we are also not going to trust the One who made the human beings.
For a Sikh there’s no choice whether to trust Guru. Guru is in the Sikh. Ang Sang Wahe Guru. When you really look at the people who believe in God, who believe in spirituality, who believe in the Infinity and the dignity of humankind, trust is an essential quality. Keep going and have the trust. As the Siri Singh Sahib said, “See the thrust of your God’s trust.” The world is in suffering. The world needs to be healed. Hail, Hail Guru Ram Das and heal the world. Give Guru Ram Das a chance to come through you.
Sat Nam.
