On Day 3 of the 2026 European Yoga Festival in France, participants gathered for the uplifting Victorious Spirit workshop, taught by Angad Kaur, the Sikh Dharma International Special Envoy from the UK. It was an opportunity to experience the strength of collective practice, sacred sound current, and the inspiring energy of the Sadh Sangat.
The Kriya shared, which was originally taught by Yogi Bhajan in 1987, invited participants to cultivate courage, resilience, and inner nobility. A central component of the practice was 30 minutes in Archer Pose, a posture often associated with the focused awareness, strength, and readiness embodied by the Khalsa. These are qualities that Guru Gobind Singh Ji instilled in the saint-soldier tradition as he trained the Khalsa to stand firmly in righteousness and service.
The practice concluded with a practice of bowing Jaap Sahib, Guru Gobind Singh Ji’s majestic composition celebrating the Infinite nature of the Divine. Through the combined power of posture, prayer, and sacred sound, participants were invited to release fear, strengthen their spirit, expand their radiance, and reconnect with the courage and dignity that reside within.
Hari Bhajan Kaur, Siri Chand Singh & Harman Singh played Mera Man Lochai & Jaap Sahib, followed by a wonderful instrumental during relaxation with Gurdeep Singh adding the unique sounds of the sitar. In the closing meditation, everyone chanted the Magnificent Mantra – a key to the doorway of elevation & keeping the powerful frequency of Jaap Sahib.
Angad Kaur & Siri Chand Singh were both representing SDI at the EYF this year, chatting to people in the SDI booth at the bazaar & contributing to SDI’s Introduction to Japji Sahib workshop as part of the evening program along with Prem Kaur & Deva Singh.
