Mahan Atma’s Recipe

(serves 20 people)

  • 1 cup ghee
  • 1.4 cups flour
  • .9 cups honey
  • 2.4 cups water

Jagat Singh’s Recipe

  • 1 part ghee
  • 1.25 parts flour
  • A little less than 1 part honey
  • 2 to 2.5 parts water

Guru Darbar Singh’s Recipe

(He likes it a little less sweet)

  • 1 part ghee
  • 1 part flour
  • 1/2 part honey (plus a little more)
  • Add all of the above = the amount of water (i.e. for 1 cup as above, it would be 2.5 cups plus a little)

Kartar Kaur’s Recipe

  • 1 part ghee
  • 1.25 parts flour
  • 1 part honey
  • 2 parts water

Kartar Kaur’s Recipe

(1.5 times)

  • 1.5 cups ghee
  • A little bit less than 2 cups flour
  • 1.5 cups honey
  • 3 cups water

Note:  recipe amounts may vary depending on altitude, the kind of flour used, etc.  The altitude for the above recipes is 6000 feet.
