I would make of myself an offering

To the One Who could come and take me to My dearest Beloved.

Just to see what He Can See.

He should shower His Compassion unto Me than the True Guru and I become One

And merge I shall into the Meditation of the Lord God’s Name.

(Pause.)

Oh Lord if You bless me with happiness than to You my devotion shall flow.

My focus shall be upon You even in my pain if it is Thy Will Oh Lord.

If Your blessing unto me is hunger even then I am satiated.

You have instilled within me the Advantage of feeling joyous while suffering.

To You I make my offering tearing into pieces both body and mind.

For You I burn myself in fire.

I wave fan over, and draw water for You Lord.

I take As my sustenance that which You offer.

Poor Nanak has fallen at Your door Lord,

Please Bless him with the consciousness to realize Your Greatness and Glory within.
