Guru Arjan Dev Ji – Raag Bilaval – Siri Guru Granth Sahib Ji – Ang 828

Aisee kirpaa mo-eh karaho

Santeh charan hamaaro maathaa nain daras tan dhoor paraho (Rahaa-o)

Gur ko shabad mayrai hee-arai baasai harinaamaa man sang dharaho

Taskar panch nivaaraho thaakur sagalo bharmaa hom jaraho

Jo tum karaho so-ee bhal maanai bhaavan dubidhaa door taraho

Naanak kay prabh tumahee daatay sant sang lay mo-eh udharaho

Oh God – be merciful unto me,

That my forehead may bow at the saints’ feet

That my eyes may behold their vision, and that my body shall one day mingle with their dust

(Pause)

May the Guru’s divine song dwell in my heart so deeply, that my soul’s support from that union be Your Holy Name.

Free me from the seduction of the five thieves,

Oh Master – place all of my doubts into the blazing fire.

The excellence of Your deeds are the object of my reverence,

Eradication of the duality of emotional desire.

For Nanak, You are indeed the supreme Giver,

And having merged him in the saints’ society he is liberated.
