Guru Arjan Dev Ji – Raag Sorath – Siri Guru Granth Sahib Ji – Panna 611

Sorat’h, Fifth Mehl:

Kar ishnaan simar prabh apanaa,

Man tan bha-ay arogaa.

Kot bighan laathay prabh sarnaa,

Pragatay bhalay sanjogaa.

Prabh baanee shabad subhaakhi-aa.

Gaavaho sunaho paraho nit bhaa-ee,

Gur poorai too raakhi-aa (Rahaa-o).

Saachaa saahib amit vadaa-ee,

Bhagat vachhal da-i-aalaa.

Santaa kee paij rakhadaa aa-i-aa,

Aad birad pratipaalaa.

Har amrit naam bhojan nit bhunchaho,

Sarab vaylaa mukh paavaho.

Jaraa maraa taap sabh naathaa,

Gun gobind nit gaavaho.

Sunee ardaas su-aamee mayrai,

Sarab kalaa bani-aa-ee.

Pragat bha-ee sagalay jug antar,

Gur Naanak kee vadi-aa-ee.

Cleanse yourself, and remember God, and your body and soul shall be free of disease.

Millions of obstacles are removed, in God’s Sanctuary, and good fortune is revealed.

God’s Bani and His Shabad are the Most Sublime Words.

Sing, hear and recite them continually, O Siblings of Destiny, and the Perfect Guru will save you.

The Glorious Greatness of the True Lord Master is endless – He is Merciful, and He loves His devotees.

He preserves the honor of his Saints – since the beginning of time, His Nature is to cherish them.

Eat the Ambrosial Name of the Lord continually as your food, and put it in your mouth at all times.

The pains of old age and death shall all flee away, as you continually sing the Glorious Praises of the Lord of the World.

My Lord Master has heard my prayer, and all my works have been resolved.

The Glorious Greatness of Guru Nanak has become manifest, throughout all the ages.
