Raag Sorath – Guru Arjan Dev Ji – Siri Guru Granth Sahib Ji – Ang 623
Vich kartaa purakh khalo-aa.
Vaal na vingaa ho-aa.
Majan gur aandaa raasay.
Jap har har kilvikh naasay.
Sant-ho raam daas sarovar neekaa:
Jo naavai so kul taraavai, udhaar ho-aa hai jee kaa.
Jai jai kar jag gaavai,
Man chindi-aray fal paavai.
Sahee salaamat naa-i aa-ay,
Apanaa prabhoo dhi-aa-ay.
Sant sarovar naavai,
So jan param gat paavai.
Marai na aavai jaa-ee.
Har har naam dhi-aa-ee.
Iho brahm bichaar so jaanai,
Jis da-i-aal ho-i bhagavaanai.
Baabaa Naanak prabh sharnaa-ee,
Sabh chintaa ganat mitaa-ee.
Sorath, Fifth Mehl:
The Creator-Lord Himself is my Support.
No harm can come to me.
The Guru has perfected my cleansing bath.
Chanting the Har, Har, my sins are washed off.
O Saints, wondrous is the Sacred Tank of Ram Das:
One who bathes in it, and all his generations, are blessed.
He is acclaimed over the entire world,
And the desires of his mind are fulfilled.
Bathing here, his mind is at peace,
Meditating on the Lord God Himself.
One who bathes in the Tank of the Saints,
Achieves the State of Supreme Bliss.
He dies not, and is beyond coming and going.
He dwells on the Name, the Name of the Lord.
He alone knows the Wisdom of the Lord,
On whom the Lord extends His Mercy.
Baba Nanak seeks the Refuge of the Lord,
And all his cares and worries are gone.
