Raag Kalyan – Guru Ram Das Ji – Siri Guru Granth Sahib Ji – Ang 1321

Prabh keejai kirpaa nidhaan,

Ham har gun gaavahgay.

Hao tumaree karao nit aas –

Prabh mo-eh kab gal laavahigay?

Ham baarik mugadh i-aan –

Pitaa samajhaavahigay.

Sut khin khin bhool bigaar,

Jagat pit bhaavahigay.

Jo har su-aamee tum dayho,

So-ee ham paavahgay.

Mo-eh doojee naahee thaur,

Jis peh ham jaavahgay.

Jo har bhaaveh bhagat,

Tinaa har bhaavahigay.

Jotee jot milaa-i –

Jot ral jaavahgay.

Har aapay ho-i kirpaal,

Aap live laavahigay.

Jan Naanak saran du-aar,

Har laaj rakhaavahigay.

Raag Kalyan, Fourth Mehl:

O God, Treasure of Bliss, have mercy on me,

That I may ever sing Your Praises.

I rest my hopes ever in You, O God –

When will you take me in Your Embrace?

I am an ignorant and silly child –

O Father: Instruct me.

This child every moment makes mistakes,

But still You are pleased with me,

O Father of the World.

Whatever You give to me, O Lord Master,

That is what I receive.

For me there is no other second place,

Where my feet can take me.

The devotees who are pleasing to the Lord,

Unto them the Lord alone is pleasing.

Their light shall merge into The Light –

They shall blend with the Light of the Luminous Lord.

The Lord Himself, becoming Merciful,

Extends His Love, and allows me to love Him.

Servant Nanak has sought the Sanctuary of the Lord’s Gate,

And the Lord shall protect His Honor.
