Video: Home Kirtan Chat with Hari Bhajan and Siri Chand

Pritpal Singh hosted our fifteenth HomeKirtan & Chat Live Video Program on July 31 with special guests Haribhajan Kaur and Siri Chand Singh. Video includes live kirtan, stories and discussion with the artists!

About the Artists

Hari Bhajan Kaur Khalsa has been singing her whole life, and  began singing Gurbani Kirtan at an early age. Born in Mexico, she grew up attending a boarding school in India, called Miri Piri Academy.  While there, she learned discipline and Kundalini yoga along with the history of her life path, Sikhi, or Sikh Dharma.  In her senior years of high school, she took a keen interest in an ancient Indian classical style of music, called Raag. After graduation, she taught at the school, about the Sikh path and Gurbani Kirtan. She also gratefully immersed herself in Raag Kirtan, studying and practicing, during this time. Her training continues still with a Raag master, Ustadji Narinder Singh Sandhu, who is a great teacher of Gurbani Kirtan in Raag. She is grateful to have sung Gurbani Kirtan all over India, Malaysia, Mexico, Italy, the U.S.A., and Canada.  She is now gratefully married to Siri Chand Singh Khalsa, who is originally from Mexico.  He accompanies her with the guitar, or percussion and they are a jetha (sacred music band).

Siri Chand Singh Khalsa is an exceptional musician that enriches music with his beautiful guitar playing, by adding subtle, piercing, and healing notes to take the listener into a sacred, heavenly realm. He is a healer, teacher, and Hari Bhajan Kaur’s husband.
