Every time we sit down to practice Kundalini Yoga, we tune in with the Adi Mantra, Ong Namo Guru Dev Namo. This mantra translates to, “I bow to the Creative Wisdom, I bow to the Divine Teacher within.” By chanting these words, we arrive and mentally prepare for our practice. We tune into the divine flow and self-knowledge, setting ourselves up for the best learning experience possible. We recognize and honor our inherent desire to transform and grow, and we connect with the internal force that lights the path forward.
Nirvair Singh explains that the Adi Mantra is our first mantra. We start every kriya with this mantra. It is the mantra we use to tune in. He talks about what Yogi Bhajan shared about this mantra.
