The Lost Kriya of Yogi Bhajan

The Lost Kriya of Yogi Bhajan taught by Guru Singh

With Music by Feather & Dot

“In 1968, Yogi Bhajan came to the West to bring the technology of Kundalini to those who would listen. To those that would awaken – in order to counteract the unconsciousness that’s taking place on Earth at this time in history. It was 1968 when he came here, and in 1971 – in January – he took the first trip back to India. 84 students went with him on that yatra. And when he got to India, they had already sent a vast amount of their money ahead to make preparations. One of Yogi Bhajan’s peers betrayed him and absconded with all of that capital. All of that money. There was no way of getting it back. There was no way of turning this around, in three dimensions. So, Yogi Bhajan went into a deep meditation. . .”

In this meditative state, Guru Ram Das personally gifted Yogi Bhajan the mantra Guru, Guru, Wahe Guru, Guru, Ram Das, Guru.  When Yogi Bhajan returned from India to the US, he taught this kriya.  There are three moves in this kriya.

  1. The first movement enables you to absorb the grace of Guru Ram Das.
  2. The second movement opens your spine to allow that grace to rise up through your system.
  3. The third movement allows you to reach forward and absorb the gifts of the Universe.

      • Hi OngKar Kaur Khalsa,
        Sat Nam
I haven’t heard back so Im imagining it slipped through the email cracks so just resent the email. If you think I should do anything differently kindly let me know, thank you
        Best,
        Patti

        • OngKar Kaur Khalsa says:

Sat Nam Patti. I’m checking in with KRI to see if they have the info you requested. Will let you know.

          • OngKar Kaur Khalsa says:

            Sat Nam Patti,

Here’s what I received back from KRI. Seems like you will need to contact Guru Singh directly:

It seems that Guru Singh was taught this by Yogi Bhajan just as he taught many of the legacy teachers special kriyas, meditations, foods etc that usually have no verification other than the teacher’s knowledge. I have a special diet he told me to give Siri Neel Singh when he had Hodgkins disease and an exercise he taught me for a knee injury after a car accident that the orthopedic surgeons wanted to operate on.

If Guru Singh has verification such a letter or recording he has not shared it with KRI and thus we have no record of this teaching, although it is quite similar to another practice that we have verification for. Legacy teachers teach these practices from their personal experience and fall under a category of teachings that “cannot be verified by KRI and are from the personal notes of Guru Singh”(or whomever is the teacher sharing it.)

The student would need to contact Guru Singh personally to ask the date Yogi Bhajan taught it to him.
