Rewriting Our Destiny

SSSaEveryone is born with Karma but when you live by the principles of Dharma you rewrite your Destiny. Each lifetime only offers you the opportunity, the possibility, to work on your consciousness. The fastest most efficient way to rewrite your Destiny is to change your attitude to one of gratitude, recognizing you belong to God. With this attitude you will remember all that happens in your life comes from God, and when God is your base and benefactor in life, Truth will guide you through all your life experiences with grace.

If we can keep a practice as suggested in the 38th Pauri of Japji, this will give us the capacity to rewrite our own Destiny. Seeing all relationships as mirrors to reflect the issues we face for growth within ourselves, or to see the divinity in another, is but a reminder for us to see the play of God in All.

“Let self-control be the furnace, and patience the goldsmith. Let understanding be the anvil, and spiritual wisdom the tools. With the Fear of God as the bellows, fan the flames of tapa, the body’s inner heat.”

Working on ourselves at this level develops a consciousness to worship the God in all.

“In the crucible of love, melt the Nectar of the Nam, and mint the True Coin of the Shabd, the Word of God. Such is the Karma of those upon whom He has cast His Glance of Grace. O Nanak, the Merciful Lord, by His Grace, uplifts and exalts them.”

With this attitude of love and gratitude we serve the God in all by holding the frequency of oneness with God and then relate to all from this state of being. That is living Dharma. Living and serving our time and space in life with this awareness of knowing we belong to God, will give us the caliber to write our own Destiny.
