The subject I am going to deal with is very important for your lives, for your liberty as a human being, and mainly, how you deal with your life to begin with.
Crisis and conflict is the subject of the day. First the conflict starts. Conflict reaches to the stage of crisis. If crisis is to the point that you become neurotic with it, you cannot resolve it. But if you bring logic and reason into it, then you can consider your pros and cons.
Reason with your conflict. Do not let it proceed to the stage of crisis. Once it becomes crisis, you are in much more trouble. The problem is you cannot face outside crisis and conflict if you do not resolve inside crisis and conflict.
Resolve your inner crisis before you resolve your outer crisis. Give your inside a chance. Speak to your inside. Check it out. If there is fire in your house and you run out to extinguish the fire of the neighbors, by the time you come home you will not have a home. So do not reason with the outer world before you reason with your inner world.
Bhand Jammee-ai
Guru Nanak provided this shabad for you. I wish I could go and say I need another shabad for me, too. But for you there is a shabad, why? Why specially you? Because you have the capacity to be a mother. Your mother principle is not only recognized, but it is respected, it is revered. You may never have a child, but you are considered the channel of humanity.
Guru Nanak gave you this shabad so that your inner conflict may always be resolved by your own grace. If a man reads it, his inner conflicts with a woman are dissolved; if woman reads it, her inner conflict shall be dissolved.
What does bhand mean? Universal container. The word bhanda comes from this word bhand. When it is an infinite container it is bhand; when it is a known container, it is called bhanda. So to begin Guru recognized you as an infinite container. Understand?
This is a shabad which has a blessing to resolve your inner conflict and your inner crisis, no matter how strong it is. Sing it from the navel.
(Bhand Jammee-ai is played in the class, students sing along.)
The word is bhand. It touches the upper meridians. The hypothalamus is stimulated enough to resolve the inner conflict right there and then. Neurons exchange into the velocity and capacity, and gray matter circulates in the brain. Whenever you will recite this, you will be surprisingly getting out of your inner problem on the spot.
This shabad stands firm to create neurological balance in one recitation. And the moment your inner conflict and inner crisis are resolved, you have no problem with the outer crisis. Why? Outer crisis has distance. Help can come in, you can put a buffer, you can calm down, you can quiet down, you can answer. But from the inner crisis and conflict it’s very difficult to get out.
This shabad is consolidatedly solid which shall work—when you remember it. First you have to find you are in conflict and crisis. And then you must remember this shabad. When you are in crisis and conflict, you hear it, you know it, you feel it, you experience it, and as you start experiencing, neurological change will take place. And as it takes place you will be free from the inner crisis and conflict.
Then you can face anything. Is there any person in the whole world who doesn’t want to be excellent? None. And you can succeed. You can get off the crisis—middle age, youth crisis, old age crisis.

Translation
From woman, man is born; within woman, man is conceived; to woman he is engaged and married.
Woman becomes his friend; through woman, the future generations come.
When his woman dies, he seeks another woman; to woman he is bound.
So why call her bad? From her, kings are born.
From woman, woman is born; without woman, there would be no one at all.
O Nanak, only the True Lord is without a woman.
That mouth which praises the Lord continually is blessed and beautiful.
O Nanak, those faces shall be radiant in the Court of the True Lord.
