PROSPERITY MEDITATION – Jupiter Kriya

Jupiter Kriya To Build Business Intuition
February 4, 1990

“This kriya, called Jupiter Kriya, brings prosperity home. It is powerful enough
to clear out the garbage in your subconscious mind.
Your own electromagnetic psyche shall be tuned in with the Universal electromagnetic field.”
— Yogi Bhajan

Part One

POSTURE: Interlock the Jupiter fingers (index fingers), at the middle segment. The left index finger hooks down over the right. Bring the mudra to the Heart Center with the arms parallel to the ground. Holding the hands too low will cause depression. Keep the spine straight. Variation: you may also hold the mudra at the level of the Brow Point (between the eyebrows).
“If you hold the posture at the Heart Center, you will be an achiever. If you hold it at the Third Eye, you will have the strongest projection you can have.” — Yogi Bhajan

EYE FOCUS: Fix your eyes at the tip of the nose. Totally relax your face.
BREATH: Make the lips round, as if you were sipping water. Then breathe deeply, inhaling through the mouth, exhaling through the nose. Breathe in like you are drinking in prosperity. Drink the prana (breath of life) through the mouth and exhale through the nose.
MANTRA: Listen deeply to the mantra Har Har Har Har Gobinday chanted by Nirinjan Kaur while you keep the breath going. The combined sound of the breath with the mantra guarantees prosperity.

Har Har Har Har Gobinday
Har Har Har Har Mukanday
Har Har Har Har Udaaray
Har Har Har Har Apaaray
Har Har Har Har Hareeang
Har Har Har Har Kareeang
Har Har Har Har Nirnaamay
Har Har Har Har Akaamay

GOBINDAY—Sustaining; MUKANDAY—Liberating; UDAARAY—Enlightening; APAARAY—Infinite; HAREEANG— Destroying; KAREEANG—Creating; NIRNAAMAY—Nameless; AKAAMAY—Desireless

Listen to this track by Nirinjan Kaur Khalsa of Espanola from the album, White Tantric Yoga Vol. 1:

COMMENTS: While you are meditating, ask for opportunities to flow into you.
TIME: If you are doing this meditation for 31 minutes, continue Part One for 24 minutes. If you are doing this meditation for 62 minutes, continue Part One for 55 minutes.

Part Two

POSTURE: Keeping the Jupiter fingers interlocked, raise the arms and hold the mudra over the head above the Tenth Gate.
EYE FOCUS: Keep the eyes focused at the tip of the nose.
BREATH: Same as in Part One.
MANTRA: Same as Part One.
Continue for 5 minutes, whether you are doing the meditation for 31 or 62 minutes.
This posture is done to establish brain strength. It will strengthen the grey matter. It creates a halo around your forehead—a sign of good luck.

Part Three

POSTURE: Keeping the Jupiter fingers interlocked, lower the arms and hold the mudra at the Navel Center.
EYE FOCUS: Keep the eyes focused at the tip of the nose.
BREATH: Same as Part One.
MANTRA: Same as Part One.
Continue for 2 minutes, whether you are doing the meditation for 31 or 62 minutes.

TO END: Shake the hands and your entire body very vigorously for 1 minute. Every part of your body that you move will be your friend.

COMMENTS: In 3 minutes, the meditation will start breaking the blocks. Yawn or sneeze, but don’t interfere with body language. You carry the tensions of years and years. Let them go. After approximately 11 minutes, the thought patterns in your head should start to change and your body should start to relax. With those tensions gone, you will start finding new horizons. About 15 minutes into the meditation, certain things that have been blocking you will start to tremble as the blocked energy is released. After approximately 22 minutes, you will start to face your mental blocks, which need your perfect attention. Keep the breath strong and full as the fight starts between you and your mind.
If you do this once a week for 62 minutes at a regular time, that’s all you need. Within you there is a capacity to bring prosperity home. This kriya, called Jupiter Kriya, brings prosperity home. It is powerful enough to clear out the garbage in your subconscious mind. Your own electromagnetic psyche shall be tuned in with the Universal electromagnetic field. This will give you special energy and competence. There is hardly any possibility that you will have a problem. This meditation can be done for 31 minutes, out of kindness, but the requirement is to do it for 62 minutes.
Jupiter is the Lord of Knowledge. By holding the fingers in the Jupiter Lock, you will invoke the Jupiter guidance. By looking at the tip of your nose, you will control your mind to achieve it. By breathing a full breath—bringing in the pranic energy—you will bring the result home. Through the sound current, you will change the neurons of the brain to set a pattern of success. There is a subliminal, computerized permutation and combination in the sound of the mantra to assure prosperity.

  2. This kriya actually feels a lot like white tantric , that’s what I like about it . If doing for 31 min , is once a week still enough? Am doing tantric har also every day

    • OngKar Kaur Khalsa says:

Sat Nam Andrea, great you are enjoying this meditation. Wahe Guru! Here is our response from a previous question here about the timing of the meditation: “this is a very powerful meditation and it is suggested that it only be practiced once a week for 62 minutes. Our suggestion is that you follow that guideline for 8-10 weeks and then evaluate how the meditation is effecting you.”
But here is more: Even if you choose to practice this meditation only for 31 minutes, it clearly suggests that this be practiced only once a week. It is unwise to see this kind of technology as only transactional – that if you do it more you will have more prosperity. Better to see this meditation as a way to prepare your physical, mental and energy bodies to receive prosperity as a state of divine Grace. It is your practice to do but the timing and mechanics of how the prosperity arrives is according to the Divine.

  3. Sat nam

Is that ok do this meditation everyday for 31 min?

Just I would love to know any specific reason of the answer for yes or no?

    Thank you

    • Ardaspal Kaur – here is the answer that we posted on October 5, 2020: “this is a very powerful meditation and it is suggested that it only be practiced once a week for 62 minutes. Our suggestion is that you follow that guideline for 8-10 weeks and then evaluate how the meditation is effecting you.”

      • Adarshpal Kaur says:

Dear Pritpal, thank you for your reply.

I will start doing this meditation in the 3rd round with my students :)

It is a very effective and enjoyable meditation.

I just wondered. That this meditation should be once a week for no other reason than its powerful effects.

Our experience was that well-being really increased as it was said in meditation, and that happened in every direction. Our greatest relief in our mental and emotional balance.

Its effect on me has been to progress in a more motivated and balanced way in my work. I just worked a little too hard :) I earned by producing. And I was aligned with the universe.

  4. Chciałabym rozpocząć ta medytację. Czy możesz dokładniej opisać jaka jest różnica w trzymaniu mudry? Na centrum serca lub trzecie oko. Nie wiem do końca która powinnam wybrać.

    • Magdalena – There is a quote from Yogi Bhajan in the description of this kriya that points to understanding your question: “If you hold the posture at the Heart Center, you will be an achiever. If you hold it at the Third Eye, you will have the strongest projection you can have.” — Yogi Bhajan. The difference in positioning your hands at the Heart Center or at the Third Eye is powerful and effects how you are able to manifest the “guidance of Jupiter” into your projection into the world. You should spend some meditation time in each position so that you can start to notice these differences. At the Heart Center you may notice that your projection into the world has a softer footprint but it may also be more effected by your feelings. When you position your hands at the Third Eye you may notice that your projection is more neutral and balanced but it may also tend to be somewhat detached. Learning when one position is more appropriate to your situation is part of the journey on this path of consciousness.

    • Dear Nihal Atma – this is a very powerful meditation and it is suggested that it only be practiced once a week for 62 minutes. Our suggestion is that you follow that guideline for 8-10 weeks and then evaluate how the meditation is effecting you.

  5. I could do this Kriya- part one for only 11 minutes the timing of the mantra given above. I completed the whole kriya in about 21 minutes, or I have to specifically do this for 31 minutes, for it to work

    • Vipanjot – this meditation was given in the specific timing as listed. Our recommendation is that you choose either the 31 or the 62 minute length of time and follow the timing in the instructions and not shorten the meditation.

    • Bruce Rowston says:

Vipanjot, I solved the problem of timing by creating a single audio file of 32 minutes duration. To do this I simply joined three recordings of the mantra into a single one. I included cues (fading in out then back in) into this single track for the 24, 29 & 31 minute marks. This allows me to complete the meditation without having to resort to looking at clocks, or setting timers.

To do this I used a software program known as Audacity. It is freeware, readily available to download for Windows, and perhaps for Mac.

      Good luck with your practice.

      • Aneeta Mathew says:

Namaste! Looking for guidance with the audio to be played while meditating. Is it the same as the track on this page? Does it have to be played on a loop for the entire duration of the meditation? Please guide…thank you and much love

        • Rupinder Kaur Khalsa says:

          Sat Naam Aneeta,
Thank you for your question! We recommend you using the same audio track indicated in the meditation, which is by Nirinjan Kaur Khalsa of Espanola from the album, White Tantric Yoga Vol. 1.

You can play it on a loop for the duration of the meditation, and we also recommend you considering what Bruce Rowston (please see comment above) said about creating a single audio file for the exact duration of each part of the meditation.

Hope this answers your question. Blessings!

  6. Devi Ananjot Kaur says:

I have started Jupiter meditation 2 weeks ago all is good but Im experiencing body cleansing. I have spots on my body and stomach problems. Is this normal during this meditation?

  7. Pls advise… is there a short version of this Jupiter Kryia? I have add and cannot stay in any spot ( mentally of physically ) for very long

    Pls help

    Thank you

    • Bruce Rowston says:

Nancy 32 minutes is the minimum version. A trick that might help is to really focus on both your breath, and the mantra. My Guru continually reinforces the former during our sessions. “Keep returning to your breath” she says. What she means is that if you’re finding the asana difficult, cope with the pressure by concentrating on your breath. Get through the next one, make it the best that you can, then move onto the following breath, and the one after that, and so on and so on. Holding the Jupiter asana for 31 minutes isn’t easy for most people, but by continually returning to your breath, and the mantra, you’ll get through it I’m sure.

      Good luck with your practice.

  8. Amrita Dass Kaur says:

THANK YOU SO MUCH for publishing. I am so utterly grateful to Wahe Guru for directing me to this meditation for today, November 19th, 2019 when Jupiter is aligned with the Galactic Center – a special occurrence only every 12 years. Sat Nam!

  9. Ramaswamy Swaminathan says:

Madam I want to do meditation at home for jupiter kriya and for mercurty in the morning hours.

    Could you suggest me.

  10. Christene Satyabir Kaur says:

Nameh I thank you for your kindness, Amazing Kriya exactly what is for me now, can I continue with shubagh, which I am doing everyday for breakthrough in prosperity?

    • Guru Prakash Kaur Khalsa says:

      Sat Nam Satyabir Kaur,
You can continue your daily practice of Subhag Kriya and incorporate this meditation as well.

  11. Avtar Adi Kaur says:

Sorry I don’t know if it is me, but if you say “left Jupiter finger hooks down”, then it would mean that the palm of left hand would be facing down, would it. If that is the case, the photo showed, demonstrates exactly opposite. Can you help???

    • Guru Prakash Kaur Khalsa says:

      Sat Nam Avtar Adi Kaur,
Thank you for checking on this. The pictures are correct and consistent with the instructions. When you hook the left index finger down over the right, the left palm is facing down when the arms are at the heart center (as shown in the first picture). However, when you move the arms up to the third eye while keeping the mudra the same, the left palm naturally faces out and when you bring the arms down into the lap, the left palm now faces the belly and when you bring the arms up above the head, the left palm now faces up. I hope this is helpful!

      • Avtar Adi Kaur says:

        Sat Nam Guru Prakash,
I guess every excuse is good, when you are in a state of mind, that does not want to face its own blocks.
Now, I can see the instructions clear and consistent. Thank you for patience and understanding. This is very powerful practice.

  12. Tejbir Singh says:

I love the layout of the page, giving a very clear description of the kriya along with music included. Nicely done SDI.

    • Guru Prakash Kaur Khalsa says:

Thank you, Tejbir Singh! We are so happy to present this technology in a way that makes it easy to practice. Wahe Guru!

  13. Thank you…this is EXACTLY perfect for me and others now. I feel just as I did when I met with YogiJi- he is giving me exactly what I need when I need it.

  14. Marie Petersson says:

I really like this and I remember this track (played here) from long ago! Anybody knows who is singing and from what cd? Also I´d like to know on which cd Nirinjar Kaur sings this song? Thank you! and Sat Nam
