Fateh for Life – Working with Mujer de Luz

As Sikhs we believe that women should have the same rights as men; that a woman has God-given strength, intuition and power since her role is to bear and raise children to be our future.  The Siri Singh Sahib once said: “If a woman is wise, the whole surrounding becomes wise.  Because the base of society is not based on man.  It is based on woman.  It is her tolerance, her will, her power to exalt, her power to stay, that brings results.”

Nam Nidhan Kaur Khalsa had already been uplifting women with the Siri Singh Sahib’s teachings for women since 1995 when she founded the Mujer de Luz (Women of Light) Foundation in 2009, in Chile.

The Mujer de Luz Foundation has taken these teachings to a huge audience and been able to collaborate with government institutions in Chile, Colombia, Ecuador, Peru, Venezuela and many other countries in South America, effectively launching a revolution in women’s empowerment. Nam Nidhan Kaur’s work reaches out to women who have not been treated fairly, have been abused and marginalized, empowering them to activate a belief in their own strength, beauty, creativity and power. They are encouraged to find their strength and grace as wives, mothers, spiritual women and leaders.  As the women who participate in the Foundation’s programs break the cycle of victimization and take on leadership roles in their communities, the world becomes a better place for generations to come.

A cornerstone of Mujer de Luz is its two week training program, Joti Sarovar, where participants delve deep into the women’s teachings of the Siri Singh Sahib. This training program has expanded beyond South America to China and Spain.

SDI, through its mentoring program Fateh for Life, is sponsoring a team from Mujer de Luz to provide this course for the first time in the United States. Participants will be encouraged to actively engage with women in their home communities to share the teachings, further expanding the reach of this transformative technology.  Fateh for Life is looking to support young women of the Dharma to encourage their participation and inspire their continued service to uplift all women in need.

Through this program, more women will learn these teachings and share them with others around the world and the affect will be exponential!  Hail, Hail Guru Ram Das and Heal the World!
