Sri Raag, First Mehl:
To forget the Beloved even for an instant causes a Great Affliction within one’s soul.
How can honor be claimed in Lord’s court – if He dwells NOT in the hearts of His own.
Meeting the Guru one Attains peace,
And the fire of desire is quenched.
Oh my soul, day and night meditate on the excellence of God.
Rare in this world are the devotees who forget not the Name even for An instant. (pause)
When one’s radiance merges with the source of Divine Light,
And their consciousness is Attuned to the universal wisdom –
Then they are no longer bound by violent tendencies, Ego, or the suffering caused by doubt or fear.
The discipline within whose mind the Lord resides, shall find Union with Him through the Guru.
If the body be surrendered –
As a bride to her Master –
This shall delight the Enjoyer.
Make Love NOT with the one who appears to be transitory.
By the Grace of the Guru enjoy that bed of the Lord God as a Bride unto her husband.
From the Guru the disciple is offered the water to quench the four fires, and his takes its death.
Becoming filled with Lord’s Ambrosial nectar –
The lotus blossoms within the devotee’s heart.
And his soul is satiated.
Nanak – make the True Guru thy friend.
And Go in Truth to Lord’s court.

Guru Nanak Dev ji Birth Anniversary is on 30 November. He said during his life time that I have no religion. Neither I am Hindoo nor Muslim. I am only Servant of Huminity. What a great idea He spread during his lifevtime. No such example is available in theventire human history.
