A Valentine’s Day Boost for the Journey of Love

Shabad Guru Technology to Bring More Love to Your Life

This Valentine’s Day, we have curated a collection of shabads that we feel will provide a heavenly boost to your holiday, no matter where you find yourself in life’s great journey of love.

These shabads were drawn from The Psyche of the Golden Shield, which contains a vast collection of Shabads from Sikh scriptures that give one the ability to create and live a life of fulfillment and excellence. The shabads are provided according to their effect. In the words of Siri Singh Sahib, Yogi Bhajan,

“It has taken hundreds and thousands of years for these divine shabads to be brought down to the beautiful people of this earth. In these shabads, can be found wonderful philosophy, beautiful messages and fabulous musical composition – all of which give us moral mental strength and the alamater of our prosperity, popularity and position in the world at large and in the heavens in particular.”

Chant or recite the shabads below 11 times a day and experience the technology of the sacred Shabad Guru.

Thank you so much for sharing! I am listening to Mangal Saaj Bha-i-aa and reading the text that is with it. As I’m listening and reading, the words are in the recording are different than what is written – and I’m wondering if I’m reading it incorrectly or ? she is saying ram ram ram and some other things that are not written in the same sequence – . Id love to understand how the language works better… or is it like a chorus where it’s ok to repeat certain words even though they’re not written? Thanks so much! Sat Nam

Sat Nam Barbara, thanks for checking in with us about this. In the musical version featured here, the singer is singing “Bolo, Ram, Ram” in between verses. Bolo means to sing or speak and Ram is a word for God. She also says “wahe Guru” in there too which is an expression of the ecstasy of God. So in her experience of the joy of singing this shabad, she is calling us to sing and remember the ecstasy of God and these words are not the exact shabad, but added chanting by the musical artist, very similar to your example of a chorus. I also just added a link to this post which features some additional versions of this shabad. They are on Sikhnet’s Gurbani media center. You can check those versions out as well. Enjoy! :)

Thank you for these! Is The Psyche of the Golden Shield a book that is available to purchase? Is the publication Psyche of the Soul available for purchase?

    • OngKar Kaur Khalsa says:

Sat Nam, the original hard copy is out of print. It is available as an e-book, but we were hesitant to share it with people because when we accessed a copy of it, the formatting was off and difficult to read. There is also a Kindle version thru Amazon.
Here’s the link to purchase either the ebook or the kindle. Many Blessings! :)
